"Dusk: they will work tomorrow without him" - The Famine Road
Eavan Boland’s poetry left a lasting impression on me. It is multifaceted and incredibly deep. Boland isn't simply diplomatic, she is honest and magnanimous - to me, she is a poet with real integrity and a big heart. Her style seemed a little plain to me at first, then I realised that it allowed the peak moments of her poems to peak even higher.
